91 points -- Classic La Tache nose of Asian spice and dried rose petals followed by medium weight, beautifully complex flavors of excellent depth and fine length. While this is by no means a great example, it is as good a 1981 as I've had in a long time and drinking perfectly now though certainly capable of holding if not improving.
