As it usually is, this is quite backward and leans towards the austere with its reserved, borderline closed nose and superbly intense, chiseled, tautly muscular flavors that simply oozes minerality. The precision and detail here are marvelous and if this adds a bit of flesh with bottle age, my score will clearly be conservative. An outstanding effort with real class and grace.
